Although the show was over the band still played on,
into their final encore after the crowd was gone,

I'm wasting time again (X3)

sittin back wastin time lookin for a chance to relax and unwind
lookin for a chance to let the stress go
doing it the only way that I know, layin down a track of that free style
so i can get it off my chest and get on with the show.
but the time keeps moving by way too slow so it drifts into the back of my mind and so on and so on

now in my mind it's over,
but it lingers on,
I just can't seem to let go,
of this played out song,

I'm breaking down again (X3)

I'm breaking down I cant think straight
with myself in a ce;ll as a cell mate,
sittin here wastin time and just thinkin
all the neurons in my head aren't linkin up
and I just can't seem to get my thoughts straight
got nowhere to be except to be late,
and a dollar short and i gotta sport my best threads for myself if nothing more,

and so it all starts over just like i hit rewind just plays on for hours and hours, inside my mind...
